Pastor nabbed for drugs

MANILA, Philippines — A pastor of a Christian group was arrested in a drug sting in Quezon City on Friday night.

Jimmy dela Torre, 49, allegedly sold P500 worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu to police officers along Oxford street in Barangay E. Rodriguez at around 11:30 p.m.

Ten sachets of shabu, a motorcycle and marked money were seized from Dela Torre.

Police said suspects arrested in previous operations identified Dela Torre as their source of illegal drugs.

Fourteen other persons were arrested in separate operations in Quezon City and in the eastern and southern parts of Metro Manila.– Robertzon Ramirez
