Hostage-taker in Bulacan gunned down

MALOLOS, Philippines — A woman who held hostage a woman in Barangay Citrus, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan on Friday was killed when he fired at responding police officers.

Col. Chito Bersaluna, Bulacan police director, said Boyet Tuando held hostage Mariel Gesulga, a resident of the barangay.

Prior to the incident, Gesulga filed a complaint against Tuando for threatening to kill her if she would refuse to have sex with him.
