3 kids die of suffocation in car

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines  —  Three children died after they were trapped in a car in Barangay Calungusan, Orion, Bataan on Monday. 

According to a police report, Agatah Morales, 9; her sisters Shamei Algehla, 8, and Paulaine Keziah, 6, were first seen playing near a company car of Petron Bataan Refinery. 

Jessie Morales, 31, said he was surprised when he saw the children lying in the car a few hours after he parked the car in front of his house. He said the children were unresponsive when he opened the door. 

The victims were declared dead on arrival at the St. Michael Hospital. Doctors said the children could have died of suffocation.

An investigation is ongoing.
