Guard hurt in Marikina ?city hall duel

MANILA, Philippines — A security guard was wounded in a gunfight with a fellow security guard over an old grudge at the Marikina city hall yesterday.

Reynaldo Rosal Jr. was hit in the neck, with the bullet exiting through his mouth, said Brig. Gen. Christopher Tambungan, Eastern Police District director.

Rosal was reported to be in serious condition at the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center.

Tambungan said the suspect, Ely Cantuba, 49, was arrested by responding policemen and would be charged with frustrated homicide.
