MANILA, Philippines — A roster of the candidates gunning for local posts in Navotas was released by the Commission on Elections.

Navotas was declared a city after a plebiscite on June 24, 2007.

This city has been ruled by Tiangco brothers, Toby and John Rey, in recent years.

It had a population of 249,464 in 2015.
