Alleged gun-for-hire leader falls in Quezon City
MANILA, Philippines — A suspected leader of a gun-for-hire group operating in eastern Metro Manila and Rizal province was arrested in Quezon City on Monday.
Franco Ladion, alias Gutang, was nabbed by agents of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) along Hopeful street in Barangay Silangan at around 2:40 p.m.
Ladion allegedly yielded a .45-caliber handgun and ammunition.
Lt. Col. Tom Ibay, chief of the CIDG National Capital Region, said Ladion was arrested on the strenght of a warrant issued by Judge Rosanna Fe Romero-Maglaya of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 88.
Police tagged Ladion, said to be a leader of the Gutang gun-for-hire ring, in selling loose firearms.
