Rudy Santos - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Immigration (BI) recently arrested three Africans at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) for presenting fake Ghana passports.

Clifford Obeng, 40; Anthony Sackey, 30, and Tahiru Ahmed, 38, were intercepted upon their arrival from Istanbul, Turkey on April 10, according to BI port operations division chief Grifton Medina.

Medina said personnel of the BI travel control and enforcement unit found that the foreigners’ passports were tampered with.

The Africans are being held at the BI detention facility at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City on charges of violating the country’s immigration law.
