2 most wanted men in Metro Manila arrested
MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila’s two most wanted persons were apprehended in Taguig City on Sunday.
Melvin Empleo, 22, and Kier del Rosario, 19, were nabbed based on a warrant for rape issued by Judge Marie Grace Javier-Ibay of the Parañaque City Regional Trial Court Branch 194.
Empleo was in a passenger jeepney along MLQ street in Lower Bicutan when he was collared by agents of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
Del Rosario was arrested during a follow-up operation.
NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar said Empleo and Del Rosario, both listed as No. 4 most wanted persons in the metropolis, went into hiding after allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl in Parañaque City on Feb. 22, 2015.
The suspects are being held at the NCRPO detention cell pending their transfer to the court.
