Drug suspect slain in Cavite

MANILA, Philippines — A suspected drug trafficker was killed in an alleged shootout with police officers in Cavite City on Saturday.

Jervin Ignacio allegedly drew his gun after sensing he was dealing with undercover agents in Barangay 48A, according to Cavite police director Col. William Segun.

Ignacio was declared dead on arrival in a hospital due to multiple gunshot wounds in the body.

Probers said they recovered a .38 caliber revolver, six plastic sachets containing shabu and marked money from the suspect.
