Drunk man drowns in creek

AGUILAR, Pangasinan, Philippines — A factory worker drowned in a creek in Barangay Buer here on Saturday.

Dario Pinote, who was reportedly drunk, was swimming with his children when he decided to take a dive.

Pinote reportedly hit his head on a rock, causing him to lose consciousness.

He was taken to the Mangatarem District Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, in the nearby town of Binalonan, Silvestre Pilar was found dead in his room in Barangay Poblacion.

Authorities said Pilar could have died of heart attack.

Neighbors said they noticed that Pilar, who was living alone, had not gone out of his room since March 28, prompting them to seek the help of the police.
