6 killed in Calabarzon shootings

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Two drug suspects were shot dead in a drug bust while four others were killed in gun attacks in Cavite, Laguna and Batangas on Thursday.

Freddie Hernandez and Noel Sugatan reportedly shot it out with anti-narcotics agents in Barangay Muzon 1, Rosario, Cavite.

Police said six sachets of shabu, a caliber .38 revolver and marked money were recovered from the fatality.

In Pampanga, Mary Anne Dedic, 35, reportedly yielded shabu with an estimated street value of P4.8 million in Barangay Balibago, Angeles yesterday.

According to a police report, law enforcers raided Dedic’s house after she sold a kilo of shabu worth P1 million to an undercover agent.

Meanwhile, three people were found dead with gunshot wounds in Barangay Putol, Kawit, Cavite; Maharlika, San Pedro, Laguna, and Cale, Tanauan, Batangas.

One of the fatalities was identified as Angeles Legaspi.

Security guard Norberto Generillo was on duty in front of a subdivision in Barangay Anabu 11-A, Imus, Cavite when he was shot dead.

In Pangasinan, building contractor Salvador Moreto, 53, a resident of Antipolo, Rizal, was drinking liquor with his relatives and friends at a house in Purok 3, Barangay Cabanaetan when he was shot at close range.
