Manhunt on for 2 tagged in Junjun aide’s slay
MANILA, Philippines — The Makati City police has created a special team that will hunt down the two persons of interest in the killing of Monaliza “Monette” Bernardo, the executive assistant of former Makati City mayor Jejomar Erwin “Junjun” Binay Jr.
Three witnesses identified the two persons of interest, Chief Inspector Gideon Ines, deputy city police chief, said yesterday. He added that a timetable was also set for the swift resolution of Bernardo’s case.
Bernardo died from gunshot wounds last Friday, a day after motorcycle-riding assailants shot her in front of her house in Barangay Olympia.
