2 held for gunrunning

MANILA, Philippines — Two alleged members of a gun-for-hire syndicate were arrested during a sting in Navotas Saturday. 

Emmanuel Magos and Reymar Velasco, alleged members of the Bandamme armed group, were arrested in a sting for illegal firearms at Barangay North Bay Boulevard South by operatives from the Northern Police District’s special operations unit.

They are allegedly involved in illegal drugs and contract killing in Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela, police said.

Police also rounded up three teenagers during the operation.

A 9mm pistol, bullets, seven sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu weighing 54 grams with a street value of P200,000 were seized from the suspects.
