Family of 6 die in Isabela fire
SANTIAGO, Isabela, Philippines — Six members of a family died in a fire that destroyed their house in Barangay Plaridel, Santiago, Isabela yesterday.
Chief Inspector Erwin Casil, city fire marshal, said the bodies of King James Cabahog; his wife Love, both 35; their children Rayven, 5, and Isha 3, and their nephews, Mark Melborn Marcelino, 13, and his brother Zedric Lloyd, 16, were found in the kitchen.
Initial investigation showed the victims died from suffocation.
Casil said the fire, which broke out at 3 a.m., was declared out after an hour.
Probers said the fire started at a store in front of the house of the victims. – Raymund Catindig
