Power outage to hit Northern Luzon provinces
SANTIAGO CITY, Isabela, Philippines — An 11-hour power interruption will be experienced in parts of Cagayan, Apayao, Ifugao and Nueva Vizcaya.
The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) said the power outage in Cagayan and Apayao today would pave the way for the replacement of wood poles and line hardware along the Tuguegarao-Magapit-Camalaniugan-Sta. Ana 69-kiloVolt line.
Melma Batario, NGCP North Luzon public affairs officer, said the entire franchise area of the Cagayan Electric Cooperative II would have no electricity from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. today.
The NGCP said those covered by the Bayombong-Lagawe 69kV line in Ifugao and Nueva Vizcaya would experience a power outage from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow to allow the replacement of wood poles and line hardware as well as repair of equipment.
A power outage will be experienced in Lamut, Lagawe, Hingyon, Banaue, Mayayao, Hungduan, Tinoc and Asipulo all in Ifugao as well as Villaverde, Diadi, Quezon, Bagabag and some parts of Solano town in Isabela.
