Man shot after stabbing woman, cop in Makati City

MANILA, Philippines — A 35-year-old jobless man died at a hospital before dawn yesterday, a few hours after he was shot by a police officer he stabbed at a precinct in Barangay West Rembo, Makati City.

Cris Agudo allegedly went berserk and barged into the Police Community Precinct 8. He stabbed a still unidentified woman and Senior Police Officer 2 Reynato Quilala, who was then at the precinct’s front desk, according to Chief Inspector Gideon Ines, assistant city police chief for operations.

Quilala defended himself and shot Agudo in the abdomen, Ines said.

All three were rushed to a hospital. Quilala and the woman were reported to be in stable condition.
