Drug gang leader arrested in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines — A suspected leader of a drug gang was arrested in a sting in Quezon City on Monday.

Sonny Regajal, 39, is included in the watchlist of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency. He was arrested along with Rebecca Officiar, 39.

Police seized 28 sachets of an undetermined quantity of methamphetamine hydrochloride and shabu from the suspects.

In Caloocan, at least 1.5 kilos of marijuana were confiscated from Russell Ariola in a drug sting in Barangay 35 before dawn yesterday.

Also arrested was Karl Osira, who was caught allegedly buying marijuana from Ariola.
