Korean arrested in Cagayan for business partner’s killing

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines — A fugitive Korean accused of killing his business partner more than 15 years ago was arrested at his street food stall in Barangay Smart, Gonzaga, Cagayan over the weekend. 

Police said Sim Sang Bum was served a warrant of arrest for the 2003 murder of Korean Jeong Gachoon in Santiago City, Isabela during an argument over money in their used-car store.

An accomplice, identified only as Julian, who shot Gachoon is at large, police added.

Sim was turned over to the Bureau of Immigration.
