Magnitude 4.5 quake jolts Surigao Norte

MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.5 earthquake jolted parts of Surigao del Norte, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The tremor, which occurred at about 11:06 a.m., was centered 47 kilometers northeast of General Luna town.
The quake was an aftershock of the magnitude 5.9 quake that hit Surigao del Norte last Friday, the agency said.
It was felt at Intensity 4, which is classified as moderately strong, in General Luna.
Phivolcs said the quake was not expected to cause any damage.
