ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — An alleged Abu Sayyaf bandit wanted for kidnapping was arrested in this city yesterday morning.

Daud Baluan Isnani, 33, was collared at around 7:30 a.m. in Barangay Talon-Talon by a joint team from the city police and regional intelligence division.

Baluan is facing seven kidnapping and serious illegal detention charges before a court in Isabela City, Basilan, according to Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Luis Licup, Zamboanga peninsula police director.

A warrant was issued for the suspect’s arrest in January last year.
