CA affirms P3-M damage ?suit vs Rosanna Roces

MANILA, Philippines — The Court of Appeals (CA) has affirmed its ruling in June last year finding actress Rosanna Roces liable for P3.1 million in damages over the breach of contract with an aesthetic clinic 15 years ago.

In a two-page resolution promulgated on Jan. 18, the former 11th Division of the appellate court denied the motion for reconsideration filed by Roces, Jennifer Molina in real life, for lack of merit.

The CA stood firm in its ruling that the Quezon City Regional Trial Court was correct when it found Roces guilty of breach of contract in August 2010.

The court ordered her to pay Forever Flawless Face and Body Center P31.1 million in damages.

“We find no compelling reason to alter, modify or reverse the decision. The instant motion for reconsideration is denied for lack of merit,” read the ruling penned by Associate Justice Ramon Bato Jr.
