2 dead in Cebu fire

MANILA, Philippines — Two toddlers, aged one and two, were killed in a fire that destroyed their house in Sitio Along-on, Barangay Bulangsuran, Samboan, Cebu on Saturday. 

Barangay captain Romeo Bilagtanol said the children were alone in the house when the fire broke out as their mother went out to fetch water and their father was at work. 

Bilagtanol said an unattended gas lamp could have caused the fire. There was no electricity in the house since Friday.
