Iloilo village chief dies in road mishap

ILOILO CITY, Philippines — A barangay captain died in a road accident in Lemery, Iloilo on Sunday. 

Nelson Parcia, 68, of Barangay Pontok was pronounced dead on arrival at the Sara District Hospital.

Initial investigation showed that Parcia was driving a motorcycle when it was hit by a multicab while making a left turn.

Senior Inspector Marvin Buenavista, Lemery police chief, said the driver of the multicab, Victorico Selguera, 67, surrendered to responding police officers.
