South Korean tourist stabbed to death in Boracay

ILOILO CITY, Philippines — A South Korean tourist was found dead along the road in Sitio Ambulong, Barangay Manoc-Manoc in Boracay at around 3:05 a.m. yesterday.

Superintendent Antonio Dizon, Malay police chief, said a certain Carlito Alegado was arrested in connection with the killing of the still unidentified tourist, whose body bore stab wounds.

Police said Alegado, an alleged sex worker, admitted stabbing the victim following an argument.

Alegado told police that he and his friend “entertained” the victim at his boarding house, but refused to pay them upon learning that they were transgenders.

Dizon said they are trying to locate the companions of the victim to shed light on the incident.
