Woman nabbed for kidnapping boy, 3

MANILA, Philippines — A woman was arrested for allegedly kidnapping a three-year-old boy in Sta. Ana, Manila on Saturday night.

Charito Fernandez, believed to be a member of a kidnapping group, was nabbed after the child’s father saw her dragging the victim at their house in San Andres Bukid.

Fernandez was collared by police after a brief chase.

Superintendent Albert Barot, commander of the Sta. Ana police station, said the suspect admitted that she is paid P20,000 per child. 

Fernandez’s photo was uploaded on Facebook after she was allegedly involved in kidnappings in Sampaloc with the help of two cohorts, police said.
