2 dead in Pangasinan road mishaps
LINGAYEN, Philippines — Two persons died while three others were injured in separate vehicular accidents in Pangasinan on Saturday.
Police identified the fatalities as Jaime Lazaro of Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija, and Ludy Fernandez of Bolinao, Pangasinan.
Taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries were Ruben Dalit Jr., 28; Maricel Bergonia, 35, and Rodolfo Organis-ta, 67.
Reports said Lazaro and Bergonia were on a motorcycle that collided with a tricycle driven by Dalit in Barangay San Angel, Rosales town.
Lazaro reportedly overtook a bus driven by Deo Bañaga, causing him to hit the tricycle. He was declared dead on arrival at the Rosales Infirmary.
Bañaga was taken to the police station for questioning.
Meanwhile, Fernandez and Organista were on a motorcycle when they figured in an accident in Barangay Estanza, Bolinao.
They were rushed to the Rillera Medical Hospital where Fernandez was declared dead on arrival.
