2 fishermen missing in sea mishap

BACOLOD CITY  , Philippines  —  Two fishermen, whose boat capsized after it was hit by an unidentified vessel in the waters off Guimaras island on Thursday, remain missing, the Philippine Coast Guard said.

Lt. Cmdr. Ramil Palabrica identified the fishermen as  Lupin Despojo and Sixto Tiangao.

The companion of the victims, Erwin Mansueto, managed to jump from the fishing boat. He was rescued by a roll-on roll-off vessel.

Palabrica said probers are trying to identify the vessel that rammed the fishing boat.
