Bus, SUV hit motorbikes; 2 dead

TUGUEGARAO, Cagayan, Philippines  —  Two persons died and another was seriously injured in road accidents in Isabela and Cagayan on Sunday. 

Peter Narag, 24, janitor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, was driving his motorcycle when it was hit by a GV Florida Bus along the highway in Barangay Larion Alto in this city at around 8:45 a.m.

The bus driver, Joselito Romero, 46, was arrested.

In Isabela, the motorcycle of Gregorio Rico, 20, and Peejay Luga, 21, collided with a Toyota Hilux in Barangay San Luis.

Rico was pronounced dead on arrival at the Roxas District Hospital. Luga was transferred to the Cagayan Valley Medical Center, where he remains confined.

The driver of the sport utility vehicle, Roldan Lajorda, 39, was reportedly drunk when the accident occurred.
