3 dead in Batangas in Christmas eve crash

Batangas — Three people were killed when the motorcycle they were riding crashed head-on to an oncoming bus in Sto. Tomas in Batangas early Monday morning, police said.

In a report by Sto. Tomas police, the victims, a male and two women, were onboard a motorcycle and cruising the Maharlika highway in Barangay San Jose when it occupied the opposite lane and collided with a JAC Liner bus with the plate number TYJ-135 around 3:30 a.m. The bus was driven by Venancio Quirol.

The victims, who remain unidentified as of press time, were rushed to Sto. Tomas General Hospital but were declared dead on arrival by the attending doctors. 

Police are now investigating the driver for proper disposition.
