3 bodies found in Mindoro

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — The bodies of three men believed to be victims of extrajudicial killings were dumped near a bridge in Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro on Saturday.

The bodies bore multiple gunshot wounds in the head and body and were hogtied when found by residents at around 9 a.m. near the Buswangan Bridge in Barangay Burgos.

Probers described the fatalities to be in their 30’s, of medium build and wearing denim shorts.

Police said the bodies bore signs of torture.

Superintendent Imelda Tolentino, spokesperson for the Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan) police, said probers have yet to determine if the killings were drug-related. – Emmanuel Tupas
