Man caught selling nieces for sex
MANILA, Philippines — A man in his mid-40s was arrested in an entrapment operation at a mall in Taguig City Tuesday for allegedly trying to sell his nieces to foreigners for sex, a National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) official said yesterday.
Janet Francisco, NBI anti-human trafficking division chief, said the suspect sold nude photos of the two girls, aged eight and 11, to foreigners online.
She said the suspect is a member of a sex trafficking syndicate operating in Taguig and whose clients are mostly foreigners.
The children were brought to the Department of Social Welfare and Development, where they will undergo counselling, Francisco said.
The suspect was charged with violating Republic Act 9775, the anti-child pornography law.
