Pia Lee-Brago - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The Filipina who was allegedly killed by her Swedish actor-director husband two months ago was finally laid to rest yesterday in Stockholm, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.

The Philippine embassy in Oslo, Norway informed the DFA that Mailyn Conde Sinambong was buried at the Norra Begravningsplatsen cemetery.

Sinambong’s two children, brother, aunt and other relatives attended the burial.

Also present were Consul General Maria Elena Algabre and Suzette Aluag-Callo of the DFA Office of Migrant Workers Affairs.

Swedish authorities assured the family of the 28-year-old Cebuana of justice.

Sinambong died after she was allegedly beaten by her husband at their house in Kista, Stockholm on Sept. 23.
