Mild quakes shake Visayas, Mindanao

MANILA, Philippines — Earthquakes shook parts of the Visayas and Mindanao on Saturday night, but did not cause any damage to property, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

A magnitude-4.3 quake occurred at around 7:58 p.m. some 15 kilometers northwest of La Paz town in Agusan del Sur.

It was felt at Intensity 3 in Gingoog City and Intensity 2 in Medina, Misamis Oriental.

The second quake, a magnitude-3.6, occurred at 10:49 p.m. northeast of Mapanas, Northern Samar. It was felt at Intensity 3 in Mapanas.
