Senior high teacher nabbed for laptop theft

MANILA, Philippines — A senior high school teacher was arrested for allegedly stealing two laptops from the faculty room of a public school in Valenzuela City last Thursday.

Francisco Lucaban, 55, was arrested in possession of two Lenovo laptops worth P45,000 reported missing from the lockers of complainants Marwin Tatoy and Patricia Gajes, the suspect’s fellow senior high teachers at Karuhatan National High School.

Lucaban was identified by a security guard as the last to leave the faculty room when the items were reported missing, according to case prober Police Officer 3 Regor Germedia.

Lucaban will face charges of theft and falsification of documents before the Valenzuela prosecutor’s office.
