3 die after drinking lambanog in Tarlac

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Philippines — A man and his two sons died after drinking lambanog or coconut liquor in Barangay Arengoren in Capas, Tarlac on Thursday.

Edilito Sicat, 60, and his sons Edgardo and Jommel  were pronounced dead on arrival in a hospital, according to reports reaching Camp Olivas. Their unidentified relative remains in serious condition in the same hospital.

The victims reportedly collapsed during a drinking spree at their residence. The lambanog was reportedly bought by a friend of the victims from Magalang, Pampanga.

Samples of the lambanog were submitted to a police laboratory for analysis.
