Forest fire hits Mt. Pulag anew

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet , Philippines  —  A forest fire hit a portion of Mt. Pulag in Kabayan town anew. 

Responding firefighters and volunteers trekked for around eight hours along the Akiki trail after receiving reports on the fire from a certain Christian Lasbacan.

There was no reported casualty. 

The fire started at around 6 a.m. on Monday in Sitio Tinuping, Barangay Eddet, Julian Sumakey, barangay kagawad of Abucot, said quoting local hunters. 

Probers have yet to determine the cause of the fire, which was declared out at 11:10 a.m. yesterday.
