10 families lose homes in Navotas fire

MANILA, Philippines — At least 10 families were left homeless when a fire razed six houses in Navotas City yesterday morning.

Arson probers said the fire broke out at the house of John Patrick Martinez along Naval street in Barangay San Jose at around 5 a.m.

The blaze spread to nearby houses and reached the second alarm before it was put out at past 6 a.m.

Navotas fire chief Superintendent Edwin Vargas said they have yet to determine the cause of the fire.

No one was reported hurt in the incident.

Damage to property was estimated at P400,000.
