Erap endorses Bong Go’s Senate bid
MANILA, Philippines — Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada aired his support yesterday for the senatorial candidacy of former Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go.
Estrada raised Go’s hand when the latter, accompanied by his son former senator Jinggoy Estrada, visited him at his office.
“I am endorsing Bong Go. Having served as presidential assistant to the President, he can relay to the President legislative measures that could bring progress to all Filipinos,“ Estrada told The STAR in a a telephone interview.
Estrada said Go is also pro-poor and it is fitting that he and his Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino endorse Go’s candidacy.
Estrada earlier announced his endorsement of the Senate bids of Juan Ponce Enrile, Jinggoy, Imee Marcos and Ramon Revilla as well as that of reelectionists Nancy Binay and Grace Poe.
