3 slain in Luzon drug war
MANILA, Philippines — Three drug suspects were killed in separate police operations in Laguna and Bulacan on Saturday.
Two of the fatalities were identified as Rodolfo Mayorca, 39, and Celso Tuyogan, who allegedly exchanged fire with police officers in Laguna.
Reports said Mayorca pulled out a gun and shot at the officers following a sting in Barangay San Antonio, San Pedro City.
Tuyogan was killed in a sting in Barangay San Gregorio, San Pablo City.
The fatalities were on the drug list of the police, according to Senior Superintendent Eleazar Matta, Laguna police director.
Police said they recovered a .45 caliber pistol, plastic sachets said to shabu and a motorcycle from each of the suspects.
Meanwhile, in Bulacan, police shot dead a man identified as alias Tatang following a sting in Barangay Muzon, San Jose del Monte City.
Police said they recovered a .38 caliber revolver, 11 plastic sachets said to contain shabu and marked money from the slain suspect. – Ramon Efren Lazaro
