P1.3 million shabu seized from dismissed soldier

MANILA, Philippines — A dismissed soldier of the Philippine Army and two other men were arrested in a drug sting in Parañaque yesterday.

John Wyne Arnaiz was apprehended at the fourth-floor parking area of a shopping mall along Sucat Road at around 4:30 p.m. by police officers from the National Capital Region Police Office’s special operations and drug enforcement units, said NCRPO chief Director Guillermo Eleazar.

Police officers also arrested Joseph Cabatbat and Valentin Arnaiz and seized from the three men plastic bags said to contain to contain P1.3 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride, a .45 caliber Armscor pistol with seven bullets and marked money, Eleazar said.
