15 arrested for drugs in Quezon City
MANILA, Philippines — Fifteen drug suspects were apprehended by police in separate anti-narcotics operations in Quezon City in the past two days.
Two suspects, Ryan Alcayde, 33, and Arnel Palma, 39, were nabbed in Barangay Old Balara.
Alcayde and Palma allegedly sold drugs to a police officer who posed as a buyer, according to Chief Superintendent Joselito Esquivel Jr., director of the Quezon City Police District.
Police said they confiscated three sachets of shabu from the suspects.
Authorities said 13 suspected pushers and users were collared in Barangay Bagong Pag-asa.
Among the suspects were Luis Dequillo III, 38, and his sister Cecil, 39.
The siblings were allegedly nabbed in the act of transacting drugs with their clients, according to police.
The suspects allegedly yielded two packs of shabu.
The suspects are being held by police on charges of violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
