2 Cavite inmates die of suffocation

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines  —  Two inmates reportedly died of suffocation in a police lockup in General Trias, Cavite yesterday.

Manny Libres and Christian Orbita, who were found unconscious in the toilet, died on the way to the General Trias Medicare Hospital.

The inmates had reportedly complained of severe chest pain.

Another inmate, who was taken to the Divine Grace Hospital also due to chest pain, has been declared out of danger.
