19 arrested for drugs in Quezon City
MANILA, Philippines — Police arrested 19 persons in separate drug stings in Quezon City in the past two days.
Joar Albana, 30; Bryan Vargas, 29; Jemmable Capino, 37; Jolan Camas, 23; Bernard Bartolya, 36, and Cynthia Porquerino, 34, were apprehended in Barangay Payatas.
The suspects allegedly yielded packs of shabu and drug paraphernalia, according to Quezon City Police District director Chief Superintendent Joselito Esquivel Jr.
Esquivel said the suspects’ arrest came following a tip from an informant.
In Barangay Gulod, two persons were nabbed for alleged shabu possession.
They were John Rick Cedeno, 34, and Jesus Cabangangan, 34.
Police said 11 other drug suspects were collared in other parts of the city.
The suspects are being held by police on charges of violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
