Quakes jolt Quezon, Leyte
MANILA, Philippines — Two earthquakes jolted parts of Quezon and Leyte yesterday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
A magnitude 4.3 quake, which occurred at around 9:56 a.m., was centered eight kilometers northwest of Panukulan town in Quezon.
It was felt at Intensity 4, which is classified as moderately strong, in Panukulan, Burdeos and Infanta.
The tremor was felt at Intensity 3 in Real also in Quezon and in Quezon City and Intensity 2 in Navotas City.
A magnitude 3.8 quake, with its epicenter located 10 kms northwest of Capoocan, Leyte, occurred at around 10:54 a.m.
It was felt at Intensity 3 in Capoocan and Intensity 2 in Kananga.
There were no reported damage or injuries from the quakes.
