Cops kill 3 robbery suspects in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines — Three men believed to be robbers were killed in separate encounters with police in Quezon City yesterday morning.

Authorities have yet to identify the fatalities.

In the first encounter, one of two suspected robbers died after he allegedly opened fire at policemen who responded to a robbery along Malakas street in Barangay Pag-asa.

The suspect died at the scene. His cohort managed to escape.

Two more robbery suspects were killed after they engaged police in a firefight along Agham Road. 

The cases were turned over to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of the Quezon City police.
