7 boys arrested for P250,000 theft in Quezon City
MANILA, Philippines — Seven boys were arrested for stealing at least P250,000 worth of jewelry and appliances from a house in Quezon City on Saturday.
The boys, aged 14 to 15, were caught trying to sell the stolen flat screen television set to a barangay watchman.
A witness identified them as the ones who robbed a house along Rose street in Spring Valley Subdivision while its occupants were in the province.
The complainants told police that they found their house in disarray when they got back from the province after they got word that the minors broke into their house.
A total of P254,710 worth of jewelry, appliances and personal belongings were stolen by the minors.
Police said they were able to recover the stolen television, a camera, laptop and two watches worth P124,000 from the boys.
However, assorted jewelry worth P90,000, as well as other appliances and items worth a total of P130,000, remain missing.
The boys were turned over to the city social services development department.
