Belgian tourist, inmate commit suicide

MANILA, Philippines — A Belgian tourist and an inmate allegedly committed suicide in Mountain Province and Negros Occidental, respectively.

Rouben Marc was found hanging on the stairs with a nylon looped around his neck at a homestay in Sitio Dati, Barangay Patay, Sagada on Sunday.  

Residents said they have not seen Marc since Friday.

Paulino Pasague, 58, was found hanging in his cell in La Castellana, Negros Occidental.

Police said Pasague was arrested on Oct. 3 for rape and acts of lasciviousness. – Gilbert Bayoran
