2 dead in Luzon mishaps

MANILA, Philippines — Two persons died while four others were injured in separate vehicular accidents in Pangasinan and Isabela on Saturday.

Romeo Caranto, 41, was biking in Barangay Coliling, San Carlos City when a vehicle hit him at past 7 a.m. He was declared dead on arrival at the Blessed Family Doctors’ Hospital.

On the same day, Domingo Gamboa and Jeremiah Credo were injured in separate motorcycle accidents in Rosales town, while Edwin Distor was run over by van in nearby San Fabian.

Meanwhile, 15-year-old Kenneth James Taires was declared dead on arrival in a hospital after he and his friend figured in a motorcycle accident in Cabatuan, Isabela.

Taires’ companion Mark Alison Estefanio, 17, reportedly lost control of the wheel, causing the motorcycle to hit a power post in Barangay Magdalena at around 10:30 p.m.– Raymund Catindig
