Taiwanese caught with P20-million shabu

Ghio Ong - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) have arrested a Taiwanese man who allegedly yielded P20 million worth of shabu during a sting in Ayala Alabang Village in Muntinlupa City.

Jang Wen Jung, 72, was nabbed by PDEA operatives in a fastfood restaurant at around 10:30 a.m. on Monday.

The PDEA considered Jang as a high-value target.

Authorities said they recovered at least three kilos of shabu from the suspect.

On Sunday, PDEA agents confiscated P7.2 million worth of kush, a variant of marijuana, at a house also in Ayala Alabang Village. Two suspects were nabbed during the operation.

Last month, the PDEA declared Ayala Alabang as a drug-free barangay.
