123 nabbed in Region 13

MANILA, Philippines — Around 123 persons were arrested during simultaneous police stings in Region 13 (Caraga), a police official told The STAR yesterday.

In a phone interview, Caraga police director Chief Superintendent Gilbert Cruz said at least 60 drug personalities were collared over the weekend.

Cruz added that 63 wanted individuals were nabbed based on warrants of arrest.

“Government troops also foiled (a communist attack) in Baragany San Mateo when the rebels fired at the police station last Tuesday,” he said.
